The appropriate material-thickness is important for beginners. Ideal are sheets with a thickness between 0.8mm and 1 mm.

If you work with finegold or finesilver, a thickness between 0.8 and 1.5 mm is practical.

With roundwire, it makes sense to buy one with a diameter of 1 mm for eyelets and ear-studs.
You can also work very good with roundwires, which have a diameter of 2mm, 2.5mm, or 3mm. From 4mm on you have to use a vice to bend it.

Tubes are often used as hangers. Donīt buy them too small. 5 mm inside diameter or more is usefull here, so it fits for different chain-ends and eyelets.
